Term 1 Week 2

Monday

How exciting!! The children will commence Home Reading today.
They will bring home a reader and their Sight Word books in their Reading Folders. Please listen to your child  read each night as this greatly develops confidence, fluency  and love of books.There is a saying that says 'Books open up the world'. Comprehension is vital so some discussion about the main events in the reader would be fantastic too. Sight words need to be learned so daily learning of these is vital too for reading and writing. As soon as the reading session is complete have your child place the reader back into the folder and straight into the school bag. The books need to come back each day for changing. Developing a routine early is the way to go. Enjoy your reading time together!!

Music and PE. - Children are to wearSports Uniforms.
